In The Beginning ...

I had always wanted to be a shop keeper from being given a post office toy as a child, which even contained some tiny little magazines. Finding out that they could be 'sold' to any unsuspecting family members or friends was what really got me started on the path to eventually owning my own greetings and gift shop called Parma Violet in Kirkby Lonsdale, the Lake District. 

And over the next happy 20 years we sold a lot of great cards from that shop but somehow it always felt like we were missing some. Customers would call in asking for cards which would deliver real emotion and had some thoughtfulness and honesty about them. They basically wanted a card with words that truly hit the right spot. That were non offensive and went that bit further than most. 

We increasingly found that we didn't have what they wanted. Nor could we seem to source them from our suppliers. So we started to print our own and in finding out how well they were received, we decided to also offer them wholesale.

Retales text based cards fill in gaps of what you may currently be offering. They are what we like to call handy cards and they will also help you sell more of all the other products you display alongside them.
